************

If I could branch into negative numbers I would for this review.

Hollard is a ****. My dad took a policy with Hollard in 2018, obviously all the necessary blood tests and checks were conducted. In 2019 he was injured while working, this was followed failed surgery leaving my dad's spine permanently damaged. Consequently he is unable to work. We then started the claims process with Hollard in June/ July 2019 - I haven't seen a company function that slow in my life. We submitted all requested documents timeously and without fuss but that did not help the situation at all. We were nudged off constantly and not given feedback on our own claim, the famous excuse of "Oh it is Coronavirus so there is a delay on everything" came up, but if we as clients still have to pay our premiums during this period (on time, all the time) - then we deserve the same level of service.

Today is 07 April 2021 - nearing 2 years since we started the claim. My dad cannot work, he is the breadwinner of the house - how is my family supposed to live and still pay premiums ? There is a struggle to do all of this, and it's caused tremendous strain on my family.

Yesterday, 06 April 2021, we were flat out told that the policy is cancelled due to non disclosure of "material medical information" - what?

As I mentioned before, at the inception of the policy medicals were conducted, my father had not been diagnosed with anything prior to this. It would reflect on medical aid of course. But his medical history is empty of anything that could hinder this claim.

I have asked what the so - called material medical information is and have not received any feedback. This is preposterous.

They are cancelling his policy based on information that we don't even know of? *********. Con. ************.

This wont be the end, and I will make sure of that.
