Poor processes and staff at Hollard. Not a company to invest with
I have a Policy with Hollard Life. When I took this policy out 5 years ago, it was sold with a cash back option. Over the past 2 days I have been battling with Hollard to find out when this cash back will be paid to me. Then I get told, there is a flag on the system that states, I need to supply my bank details in order for this cash back to be paid to me.
So my questions which cannot be answered by any of the call centre agents is: 1. Why do you need proof of my bank account, can you not pay this back to the bank account you have, that my debit order is coming from. 2. Now I need to supply a 3 month bank statement. why do I need to supply 3 months bank statements as proof of my bank account? You have been debiting this bank account for the past 5 years for this policy. Now to have the cash back paid to me, I need to give you these statements. Do you know this impacts POPI? 3. I requested for someone to call me back and explain to me why the 3 month bank statement is needed. And I am still waiting. Which means, you are holding back on my cash back and do not want to release it.
Please look into this urgently before I take this to the regulator.
Look at my call reference ***. The call was with Rachel Z. You can reach out to me for more information.
No one from Hollard contacted me to say this is what is needed for the cash payback. If I did not question it, who would have contacted me??
There is a few questions here which is already sending a message that something is wrong in Hollard. Now I am to wait for 3 more days to hear what Hollard has to say.

We have looked into your matter with our claims team and hereby confirm at the time of your claim three months bank statements was a requirement.
We do however acknowledge the frustration this has caused you and have also reviewed our process. We noted that we received your letter of confirmation from the bank and therefore accepted the document as the proof required and paid your claim.
We are always looking for ways to improve our processes and our customer's experience.

I just hope when the time comes for me to SUBMIT a claim, it wont be as problematic as this
