Policy claim not payed out

I have submitted a claim in the 23rd of October for my brother-in-law as I'm rhe beneficiary and premium payer up until today they have not payed out the claim they say they are still assessing it since it's less than 12months ans when i asked for the recording when the policy was taken out over the phone because they said the waiting period is 6 months they said they were going to email it but they haven't.
