****mers

This is a letter written to Hollard claims department by my mother.

"Good day

I'm writing to you with great disappointment and shock on how this claim was handled. Firstly I would like to be exccused as I'm using my daughter's email address, since I'm not longer able to view my emails on my device. However I did choose a preferred matter of communication which is through sms, when the claim was made.

Throughout the years I have always bought cellphones for my kids whether they're off age or younger than 18years but this is the first time I come across this issue. When I bought the phone three months ago the staff at Edgars were very much aware that it was for him. And very importantly, no one told me that if I m buying this phone for him I would have an issue with insurance. The policy documents you speak of that were sent to me are very much irrelevant as the phone had already been bought by the time the docs were sent. And even so, I would never had been able to see those documents as I had told the insurance agent on the phone about my preferred means of communication(sms). Had I known about this tricky clause from the onset, I would have procured insurance services elsewhere.

Also, the fact that my son is unemployed and has no access to an Edgars account, how it that I cannot buy him a phone when I'm still his mother, regardless of his age? This is something you should tell people before they make a purchase and insure their devices. However in my case the store lady was very much aware that the phone was not for me but for my son who who was with me and was the one given information on sim cards, chargers, etc.

Please do the right thing and pay this claim, my son is recovering from a gunshot wound and needs his phone to continue his little hustle.

Regards Regina Jozana"
