Taking insurance with Hollard takes less than 15 minutes, claiming takes a lifetime. Do not be deceived, Hollard does not pay claims. I took out funeral cover for my family last year, the consultant advised me of a 6 months waiting period for natural death with immediate cover for accidental death. Upon experiencing a death and trying to claim for the funeral expenses, our grieving family was heartbroken to hear Hollard refuse to pay claim based on fine print. The waiting period was suddenly increased to 12 months which I was not informed about, I've been waiting almost a MONTH for a response, we've had to take out loans to pay for the funeral.
