Funeral plan claim

My fiance took a funeral plan for his father beginning of this year, he was advised that their waiting period will be six months, which is normal, now comes the time to claim, they sent him from pillar to post, eventually they try to assist, of which they came up with a different waiting period of 12 months, they are such a disappointment, *********** and inconsiderate.
