Funeral cover not for funeral

We had a funeral claim and sent all the required documents to Hollard. After a week of not hearing from them we followed up. Then they say they need the Letters if Authority from the Master to process the claim. Those Letters of Authority you get after a funeral is held and you have met with your attorneys to report the estate whereafter it can sometimes take up to 6 months for the Master to issue the Letters. I pointed this out to them and have yet to receive a response after yet another week!

How can you have FUNERAL cover from them which they are only willing to pay out months after a death and funeral?? Shouldn't FUNERAL COVER, cover the funeral?????

Needless to say, we still have not heard anything from Hollard.

So I sent the Letters of Executorship through on the 22nd of March 2023... No response.

I again sent an email on 30 March 2023... No response.

Why do I have to lodge a complaint before I even hear anything from Hollard?

No, this is unacceptable. Process our claim.
