Disgraceful non-existent service from HOLLARD

I was retrenched in May and got my retrenchment letter on the 26th of May 2020. I have since sent several emails and made numerous calls to Hollards to action my Edgars Account Protection Plan.

I have sent all the relevant info as requested below to the relevant email addresses I sent the 6th email today with relevant attachments

Last auto response from Hollard received 21 July 2020 We have received your email and you can expect a response from us within 2 business days. If you do not hear back from us, please contact our claims team on *** (Standard rates apply) - REFERS to FUNERAL PLANS!!!

I have seen on the HelloPeter website a pattern of problematic claim related processes.

I need ACTION! Action! ACTION!

The required documents are as follows: If you are claiming for Retrenchment • Completed Claim Form • ID copy of the claimant • Affidavit confirming unemployment • UI19 Form stamped by the Employer or the Certificated Letter of Service • Stamped/signed Retrenchment Letter with Notification Date If you are claiming for Loss of Income on your Account Protection Plan (APP) - for the self & full time employed • Stamped/signed Letter from the Employer • ID copy of the client • Bank Statement as proof that no salary has been received – 4 months bank statements including the current month. NB. On a monthly basis going forward, you must provide us with a new bank statement until your employment status changes. We will only be settling your monthly instalment during this period. Kindly email all of the above documents to *** for direct processing. Do not copy *** as this creates unnecessary volumes here. We trust the above is in order. Should you require anything additional, do not hesitate to contact us.

It has been a month since writing my review. What has happened?

N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!!

SURPRISED?

I received a text message on the 14th of Aug 2020

"Hello from Hollard, we are currently experiencing a backlog on claims.
We are still committed to helping you and we apologise for any delays. Ts&Cs apply.
Hollard Auth FSP "

WHAT ????

Not my problem.

I cannot believe that a company such as Hollard struggles so much with a claim like this. I would NEVER insure with them.

HOL in Afrikaans means hollow. That is exactly what is going on - HOLLOWNESS

This is pathetic. It shows incompetence on the highest level.
