Complaint about Hollard
Good day. I am a government employee, in March I saw on my persal that there was a deduction of R329.40 for a policy which I was not aware of. I contacted Hollard to cancel this policy and requested a refund. The agent I spoke with told me to submit a cancellation form, an affidavit stating that this is a *****ulent policy, proof of deduction which I then submitted my persal, an ID copy and bank statement for my refund. After almost 2 months I heard nothing from them so I called again in June and spoke to an agent who told me that I was supposed to also submit a refund form which I was not told about at first attached with my ID copy and bank statement. I submitted the documents and received in email later in June stating that my bank statement must not be older than 3 months. I submitted the documents again early July. Still I did not receive any communication from them until I called them again. The agent I spoke to was very impatient and rude, refusing to hear me vent my frustration with Hollard, she told me that the bank athlete I submitted was older than 3 months which angered me even more, I told her I submitted another statement in July which was a new statement, she further went on to say I must provide proof of surname change. I told them that I’m still using my ****en surname as I recently got married, and all my documents are still in my ****en surname, I don’t know how their brother got hold of my husband’s surname since this *****ulent policy has been opened under my name with my husband’s surname. The agent wasn’t helpful at all that I just ended the call. I resent the ID copy and bank statements again, now this was on the 20th of June. On the 21st of June I received an email saying I must provide proof of surname change, I responded to this email stating that again I have not changed my surname so I don’t know where they expect me to get proof of surname change. Hollard has really made my life a living hell, I know this money is not a lot but I still worked for it and how many people are the committing this act to, they make sure that they give you the run around so that you eventually give up.
