Be aware of Hollard!!!!

I want to warn people about Hollard. Biggest ******** policy institution ever!! My husband took out a policy through them via our broker...it was supposed to be an a-z policy covering all our needs. We specified thoroughly why we needed an income protector and even wrote down all the details given to us concearning the income protector given by our broker in a meeting we had with him where we stated the necessity and importance of a thorough income protector as to our decision of taking the policy with Hollard or not. Happy with all the answers we proceeded with taking up the policy with an installment of R3237.85 each month... As to now we have paid R35 616,35 on this policy over 11 months. My husband got retrenched from his work, thank goodness for our income protector we thought... It is now 5 months off struggling with them, no payout!! Just a bunch of stories of why they cannot pay out. In the meantime he went in for a very big operation to his right feet and ancle, 6 weeks completely bedridden and off his feet, also a condition specified under cover in this policy... No payout! Every week just more and more stories--"we are busy with your claim or sorry we cannot pay out"?but comes deduction date they collect their premium promptly!!! We are busy with the ombudsman and our lawyers against them but i also want to warn consumers from taking out policies with HOLLARD. Rather go for companies like FMI where i have exactly the same cover as my husband does with HOLLARD, only difference i have never had any problems with FMI as we do with HOLLARD.

FMI stand by what they sell to the consumer... Hollard is a bunch of ****!!!
