Appualing Service at Hollard Insurance.

We registered a claim on the 9th July after a burglary took place at our place. Our priceless possessions were taken and we have sent everything possible that was needed. Nothing has been done up to thus far. To be told that the report is with management and there is nothing coming forth is totally disturbing.

We are now in August and almost a month, we are still reeling over that has happened to us. Everytime we call Hollard we are being sent from pillar to post. The latest has been the condescending behavior or attitude we have received from the staff.

We have lost so much and no one cares. Hollard has shown us flames and we even have funeral policies with them. What will happen in the even one of our loved one passes. Will the treatmtmet be the same? When we call the Head of Claims Ms Shani Chhotu, her phone just rings and no answer is being given. We are given email addresses and we write with little or no response.

The most saddening issue of late is that Hollard is asking for proof of ownership. I mean, we bought items, threw boxes away when we moved to Springs from Devon. We never knew that we have to hoard the boxes for ages until we need them when we lodge a claim. We never knew we have to keep slips as proof of ownership when we are faced with such challenges. Then my house could have been full of slips and boxes and documents. All reports and photos were sent to Hollard. News Paper article of the ******s being arrested was also sent. Photos of some of my appliances and serial number of the big TV was sent. My tekkies and clothes, does Hollard really think I must keep slips of such items as proof that the tekkies and clothes were mine or belonged to the children. We are traumatized. Our kids are traumatized and this is the service Hollard is giving to us. From 9 July to 2nd August, and this is not resolved just buffles me. We are working in a correctional facility and we have to endure the pain of seeing these ****s who broke into our house and messed us up. I'm totally disappointed in the level of service honestly. I have no words whatsoever for Hollard.
