watch out for Hollard!
I took out Hollard insurance in August 2013 - I opted for the no excess option although it was more expensive I am a commission earner & I needed to know that I was fully covered - they pushed up my premiums every year like clock work in fact they increased my installments twice last year & although they are more expensive than other companies I thought I had piece of mind - I WAS WRONG!!! - having never claimed on my car insurance, this years increase came & it was just too high - one phone call to my bank & they covered me no excess etc. at half the premium. I cancelled my Hollard policy & paid to be covered to the 31 March 2018 & new policy kicks in on the 1 April 2018 - Murphys Law I bumped my car on Pole while reversing out of a parking on 27th March, still covered with Hollard I phoned claims department - only to discover they have introduced a R3000 excess into my policy in December 2016 - sent me a copy of the policy as an exciting new product??? of course I didn't read through it as there were no calls alerting me to this nor did they point out in the email that what I had contacted for I was no longer getting - nor were my premiums reduced inline with a policy of that nature & in fact they increase my premiums twice the following year - how UNDERHANDED & DEVIOUS Hollard . I work in the Finance world you can rest assure that everyone I come into contact with will hear what I have to say
