repudiation of a motor vehicle claim by hollard insurance after two months of accident

That on or about the 24/03/2018 his friend who was driving his vehicle was involved in an accident and he passed on, on the spot .That I was taken to the hospital and called the insurance Hollard .That on Monday I was discharged and he contacted the insurance who assessed the vehicle which was declared uneconomically repaired. The vehicle was towed away by an unknown company as I was unconscious. I made a follow up on the claim and that on the 30/05/2018 I received a call from the insurance and was advised that my claim has been rejected since the driver of the vehicle did not have a valid drivers licence .I do not understand why the insurance is also refusing to pay the costs of the towing company BGF Towing Services in Witbank and the vehicle is still at the towing company. i would like to be assisted in contacting the insurance and establish the reason why they are providing me with the outcome after two months since they had a duty to advise me in time so that he can be able to tow his vehicle from the panel beaters and pay what was needed or due.
