Penalised for 2nd claim in 12 months!

<p>My mother has insurance through Hollard Insure and approximately a month or 2 ago my gran had an accident with one of the insured vehicles and a claim was submitted. Last week I had an accident with a different vehicle under the insurance and Hollard has doubled the excess on the claim to R3000 because it was the second claim in 12 months. What is the use of having insurance if you are penalised for claiming more than once in a year!!! People don't plan accidents, accidents happen and thats why you have insurance. Then the insurance company goes and penalises you for making a claim! I would not recommend these people to anyone. Not if this is the type of cover they provide. Punishing people for making more than 1 claim in a year. Absolutely rediculous.</p>
