OOBA insurance company refusing to pay for claim after 65 months of no claims

I took out a bond with Standard Bank 5,5 years ago. At the time I was told that I need to take out insurance for household and buildings insurance at OOBA to secure that I get a bond from Standard Bank. I have paid this insurance for 5.5 years and when I wanted to claim for the motor of my garage door, I was told that I could not claim. I then also approached Standard Bank because I was under the impression that it is compulsory that you are covered when things like geysers,etc need to be replaced. Standard Bank told me that they cancelled my insurance because I had insurance with OOBA. Please can you assist because I paid R555 per month for 5.5 years just to be told that I cannot claim. The other problem I have is that they approached me and told me that I need to take this insurance in order to secure a bond from Standard Bank. I have spent R36,075 on this insurance over the past 65 months and I am appalled that they cannot assist me with my claim.
