Incorrect Billing
I have recently added Home contents to my Car Insurance policy. I was told the new monthly payment would be R1089.40

On my next payment my account was debited with R1500.23. The debit order failed because of insufficient funds. I called the call center and was told that It was more because of pro-rata charges.

I asked for a breakdown of these charges as well as the last call recording for when I added the home contents. They told me I would receive it on e-mail.

It is now 10 days later and still no e-mail or any feedback whatsoever.

Two days after the failed debit order Hollard goes at it again by deducting R410.83. This time it went through. Now I have no idea what is going on and what the real actual amount is and how they calculated anything.

I was not informed that this amount would be deducted. This is against the law. If I do not get properly assisted over the next seven days I am going to refer this matter to the Short Term Insurance Ombud for further investigation.

You can not just take any amount of money you wish without my consent! This is unacceptable.

The debit order that bounced cost me R139 in bank charges. I demand that Hollard refunds this amount!
