Hollard Insurance is a dissapointment

so I have been paying my insurance like every other person, but it is only when something happens then you would see the true reflection of the insurance company that you are insured with.

So I have lost my Belcher chain at towards the end October 2018, I informed Hollard insurance as to what had happened. I sent Hollard the relevant documents and then the claim was approved. so I went to Mavis Brothers and had a look at a Belcher chain’s, Florance from Mavis Brother’s did advise me that Hollard only approved my claim for the value of R4500.

The chain that I lost was a 45 cm valued at R16137.00

so I saw a chain at Mavis Brothers that was a belcher chain, disappointed with it but took that chain where they had to shorten it to 42cm, I was really not happy but took it anyway thinking I had no choice. I took the chin home and had a closer look and I saw that all of the links were cut and joined, the cut and join links were very visible. the chain I lost was not like this, I could rotate the links 360 degrees. At that stage I was vey upset with Hollard as I was paying a high premium of R 112.75 because of my evaluation certificate.

All I ask Hollard was give me the chain I had before as I purchase it for NWJ jewellery, the price at NWJ Jewellery is R15998.00 I spoke to Hollard about me being up happy regarding my claim, they are now telling me that they cannot approve more that R7000.00

I spoke to Samela Phahlane in December telling her all for this, and up till today I have to wait for the team leader Chantel to have a look at this again.

What nonsense is this, so one pays insurance for nothing because at the end of the day Hollard will give you any s****s they feel like.
