Hollard Insurance - Bullying
I recently had an incident at the premises of Hollard Insurance client. This happened more than a month ago. I wrote to Hollard looking for an amicable solution however my claim was out right denied. I have responded with my justification and advising that I have video evidence of the incident. Hollard has now said that the video is insufficient and stated that I now need to prove that the machinery was faulty, and that the client was negligent. How am I supposed to prove that.
I have been given an alternate route which is the legal route, they know that this would cost me financially as well as time. It is not feasible for me to go via the legal route, and once again the corporate gets to bully the little guy. BTW. their legal advisors love using legal jargon, they think they are in court, and they forget that they talking to the average Joe.
I do have personal insurance, but any claim against my own insurance will have a negative impact on any future policy.
I also don't want to go the social media route as I would like to give Hollard Insurance an opportunity to respond appropriately. The right person at Hollard will be able to resolve this.

I did receive an email, will wait on the feedback.
I would like to speak with a claims representative and not a "legal" person

I am back and still very upset. After sending Hollard all the information and video, they are somehow still trying and justify the outcome of not wanting to resolve my issue by saying that client was not negligent and that it is now my fault. I have sent them the video, which shows me cautiously approaching the exit (5s), a picture with 3 anti-collision sensors. and still somehow its my fault.
Just looking at the number of negative claims between my post and today, I can see that they are having issues. I understand as an insurer they probably have tons of claims due to the terrible whether and are probably trying to save costs.
Thats is why we all have insurance to protect our assets in these situations.
Come on Hollard, do the right thing.
I will be back to post a final comment once they have responded to my last email.

So Hollard did respond, and it was as expected. They do not see any negligence on the client side. It is my responsibility to provide evidence of negligence. "we are not gonna pay, blah , blah blah.
As expected, they have pushed hard and now we have reached the point where they have said, ****** off and if you have a problem get a lawyer :-(
I don't have a lawyer on standby and a lawyer would cost way more than the actual repairs
I will take this on the chin, but I will also use this opportunity to educate people abt Hollard and share the evidence and emails with anyone interested.
Hopefully I will get this to go viral.
