Holding my mother's car hostage

Good afternoon Peter. It is nearly 4pm. Since 10h00 this morning, my mother has been struggling to get Hollard to release her car from SDM. On Saturday 16th September 2017 around 15h00, she experienced a tyre burst. Compass Towing collected her car as all tyre places were closed. There assured her they would call her on Monday morning and when she called them they advised her that they had taken her to an SDM without her permission. She is sitting with an invoice from Compass Towing. Hollard is giving her the run around and being a pensioner this is unsettling for her as she gets free towing service so Compass Towing should have called her to arrange for the car drop off. I don't know who SDM is but this is not a claim she was making her of her free yearly towing allocation as part of her policy. That means Hollard is in actual fact holding her car hostage for no apparent reason and refusing to release it so we will go to the nearest police station and lodge a claim of theft if no resolution is received today.

Good evening Peter. Just to let you know that between my mom, the pensioner, myself, my sister and family friend we solely are responsible for resolving the issue of my mom car. Following about 15 exhausting calls to the Hollard Call Centre trying to locate my mom car which Hollard couldn't assist with yes, today you pay a premium but provide yourself with your own excellent service. It is totally disgusting and unacceptable but then yes hey.... According to a Marco who had to be called a few times on ********** we eventually found out that an assessor from Hollard needed to assess the car just to make sure that was no structural damage except the blown out tyre and flat tyre. Further to that, any insurer across the globe will tell you they do not insure you for tyre damage or replacement of tyres what they do do is make you pay an excess to a 3rd party supplier and any other additional costs for replacing the tyre(s). What has been agreed with Marco is that an assessor will assess the car just to make sure there is no structural damage whereafter my mom will receive a telephone call confirming tow of car to Tiger Wheel and Tyre, N1 City Parow in Cape Town. Hollard is welcome to listen to the recording made around 16h30 today Wednesday September 20th, 2017. We look forward to a speedy resolution and release of her car.

Good morning Peter. My last communication was 21 September. Today is 26 September 10h10 and we are still struggling to get the release letter from Hollard so that our towing company can collect car. This was their condition now that we arranged it on 21 September still Hollard is refusing to release my mom car. If this isn't resolved today I'm going to force her to go to police and open a case of theft against Hollard. My mom is nice I'm cautious and they keep on mentioning damage. She had a tyre blowout and flat tyre standing deadstill at Stodels nursery and Hollard towing company used flatbed to transport car so what?
