Frustratedl

Hello, this is the first for me! I am frustrated, I had an accident 2 weeks ago, I am fine, was taken to the hospital while my insurance arranged for a tow away vehicle. Not know that when my car was towed away, and I was unable to follow though. Insurance company called me for the police details, the guy that rode into me details. She said they are going to access my car and inform me later. I am a single parent, who recently got retrenched last year, was able to get a job at half my original salary, so my car means a lot to me, I need a car for work. So when I got the call from the insurance company Hollard, telling me my car is a write off , I panicked, 1. I don't have money for a new car, 2. What bank will give me finance on half my salary, 3. I have no deposit..

Is is it tight that I was given no option from the insurance company calling me to ASK me before we write your car off , would you rather withdrawal your claim????????

they just went and assumed I wanted my car written off. Now they requested a settlement quote from the bank and they want to settle. THEY want to settle!!!!!!! I don't want to settle!!!!!!!!!!

Now its a mess, for me to get my car back , I need to speak to the bank, get my car road worthy again and get my car!!!!!

We assume having insurance, we who is paying the premiums have FIRST right to say what we want to happen to my car, I am angry , frustrated, and unsure whether the information the claims lady has given me is right!!!!!

someone please inform me what was the right way about this

frustratedl!!!!
