Don't touch HOLLARD TRAVEL INSURANCE...they're a bunch of **********!

Nowhere online or via the "friendly" insurance consultant I spoke to yesterday does this company inform you that, in order for "Cancellation and Curtailment" to be valid, you must purchase the policy WITHIN 24 HOURS OF BUYING YOUR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS! I have always used Hollard in the past; NEVER AGAIN. I have been trying since Monday to purchase cover online; the company know there is a problem with online buying of cover but they don't tell you that! So yesterday I finally got hold of a Locilda Grobler who sent me an application form - never asking for details of when I had purchased my ticket and land arrangements to India - and paid my premium online. Then the travel agent informed me this morning that the trip was cancelled and I find subsequently I am not covered at all, courtesy of Yolandi who seemed to take great pleasure in pointing out the section of the policy where it states that fact!!!
