Disappointed I am expected to pay more than the insurance pays.

Hi,

I have a household insurance cover with Hollard since 2017. Recently I had issue with my microwave. According to the assessors the microwave is no longer working due to power failure. They have approved the claim and the cost of microwave is R1622.00. However, I need to pay an excess of R1000.00.

This is ridiculous, the insurance pays the 50% less than the claim amount. I would rather take my R1000.00 go buy a new microwave. I am done, just bring back my microwave. I don't want anything to do with you. I want all my covers with you cancelled. These things do not get disclosed to us.

Just bring back my microwave. I will fix it myself or use that R1000.00 to buys a new one.

I would take my business somewhere else.
