Cover up of *********** Contractor at expense of client

I am shocked at the arrogance of Hollard Insurance's team responsible for the Rietvlei Heights Country Estate claims.

I reported a leak on the 1st of April. I was told a contractor would be sent to assess pipe damage type, write a report on whether its covered or not and then a decision will be made on how to go forward.

Now 12 days later, contractor refuses to come over giving me many reasons including those of insecurity that Hollard is not fully aware of payment issues. I told the contractor that I found his excuses unnaceptable as he had been assigned my jobcard and I had given him go ahead to inspect my leak.

I filed a complaint with Hollard and guess what? The Claims Manager (Michelle Bosman) now says I should find my own assessor to inspect the leak.

No apology for lack of contractor accountability

Over the 12 days I have been following up daily and making them aware of rising water bill costs; damage to property (including sending pics); delays in other waterproofing projects I was embarking on.

Despite all this, they decide to change their minds after 12 days and say its now your problem, assign your own person at your own cost.

Unacceptable Hollard.

I am reaching out to social media as well as seeking legal advice for the delays Hollard created and continued damage to my property within that time.
