Bad service regarding claim

<p>My car was involved in an accident about two weeks ago. I followed all the procedures to do a claim. An assessor was sent to asses the car. i was later told that my car will be written off, I was told that the value to repair the car would be too high. I then asked to see the quote for all the damages. I then took the quote to VW to validate the price of the parts only to find that the prices were inflated on the quote i got from the insurance. The funny part was that there were certain things that were not even broken but were added in the quote.I was told that the assessor is too qualified he knows what he is doing. I have a feeling that the prices were inflated so that they can reach the threshold to write of the car. I have seeked legal advise and was told take this matter to ombudsman.</p> <p>it was also funny how when the retail price of the car was calculated all the extras i added in the car were excluded but they were counted on the damage of the vehicle.</p>
