Bad Payout Policy
We have been insured with Hollard over a number of years and we have never had an issue with respect to claims. <br> On the 4th April 2016, we submitted a quote for a repair on the engine which was equivalent of R11000. After much rudeness from a few of your call centre consultants , we managed to get the quote approved. I would like a full quality assurance done on all calls made from us with respect to this query. <br> R8696 for crank shaft sensor and R4500 for coils. We signed the disclaimers and gave the go ahead to the repair centre to go ahead with the repair. He had invoiced the repair this morning. <br> At about 13:00 we received an SMS saying that only R1000 would be paid out for the sensor. That means that a R6000 odd deficit would have to be paid by ourselves to get the vehicle released. <br> I had a chat to a call centre manager and after him bragging about his qualifications, he mentioned that it was a bona fide mistake and that \he knows from his heart that not all the coils are malfunctioning\" .<br> So its ok for the mechanics to make mistakes and Hollard but the cost of which lies on the customer.
