Not to be taken seriously

I went online to get a quote for car insurances. I was not even finished on the website, and my phone started ringing. Only problem is - it did not stop for the next 2 hours. I answered the first call, the line was so bad, I asked for the person to send me a mail. She refused, saying everything had to be done by phone - as the phone calls are recorded. My statement that in writing it is also recorded was ignored. The next 20 or so calls I received varied from health insurance offers, to house contents insurances, to loan offers...
