Moreover, I found direct insurance quote from insurers portal webpage is way cheaper than the claimed Hippo promise. Eg through Hippo one insurance quote me over R3k while calling them ended up quoting me under R2k.

Also they will call you every second, guys I need to work to pay the bills.

Hippo call centre staff - everything but training and professionalism. You feel like more SAPS officers that professional service delivery.
