In contravention/breach of the POPIA act for one at least .... Stay away for Hippo.co.za

This is a minus review. This company is and probably has been for years ******** people with unauthorized debits and charging customers for "not taken up quotes". They should genuinely be investigated for running a pyramid scheme or being a ********** company. Who owns Hippo.co.za? Once they get your data you are inundated with unsolicited calls even as late as 6pm. They send your data it seems to their sister companies getting you to listen to all these add on products and even if you don't take them up you are hit with a debit order. Then its your job to go get your money back which in itself is a nightmare. Seems their call center agents are there just to get their commission and ****** off. Shouldn't their Compliance Officer or Legal Officer not be investigated for flouting the POPIA act? Who can we contact to have this investigated? I work for a company that takes POPIA seriously so how come is this company allowed to still carry on business? Just read the comments here on HP. This weekend is going to be sad for me because I am officially broke due to just asking for a quote. Never again.
