I Requested a Quote, Not a Lifetime of Spam Calls

They sell your number. Ever since I used Hippo to get a car insurance quote, I’ve been receiving nonstop spam calls. And it’s not just insurance companies - I’m now getting calls from all sorts of unrelated businesses. I’ve been blocking numbers daily for months, but the calls just keep coming. I feel that the consent process on Hippo was not clear, defined, or transparent. At no point was it made obvious that my personal information - especially my phone number - would be shared with a wide range of third-party companies. If such consent was included, it was buried in fine print instead of being clearly presented. I did not knowingly or explicitly agree to be contacted by dozens of unrelated businesses just for requesting a quote.
