Hippo quotes low to suck you in
I went onto the Hippo site and requested a quote for my car insurance. The \general"quote was in the region of R305 for the cheapest and R450 for the more expensive. Once the consultant phoned me back to do a more detailed quote it rose to about R750 pm. What absolute nonsense - I live in a security village"

When obtaining a quote it is important to remember that your previous insurance history forms part of your underwriting, but it is not the only factor that is taken into consideration. Also, although you have a good ITC record, additional risk factors such as; your age, the regular driver of the vehicle, the vehicle itself (only to mention a few) is taken into consideration when the premium is established.
