Hippo - Inaccurate quotes almost always

I find it quite frustrating thatprovide quotes for several insurers but the quotes however are often inaccurate. I have used Hippo for Car Insurance, Home and Building Insurance and almost every time the quote shown by Hippo is inaccurate. Once we express interest and the insurer comes back to us, the premium is always higher that the Hippo online quote. This then makes Hippo a waste of time and a mode of false information (premiums). Why then does Hippo exist as we could easily go direct to the insurer who will give us more accurate quotes. The insurers I have had the displeasure of going to are Outsurance, Dial Direct, Auto & General, VerSeker and 1st for Women.
