I have asked for Hippo to give me a quote on a medical aid that will fully cover hospitalization, casualty fees ,GP & specialist consults , over the counter medication and prescription medication. The consultant I dealt with was Molebogeng Moremi. She then sent me a list of medical aids that cover what i have asked for. I then selected the Fedhealth medical as my choice because of the benefits that was provided on the break down sent to me as well as how much it would cost me per month. As i started using my medical aid, then i found out, all consultations by GP or specialists are partially covered, over the counter medication and prescribed medication is either not covered at all or partially covered. Casualty has a co-payment fee which is required. On the break down that was sent, it states that network hospitalization is fully covered, which is definitely not the case. I am due for surgery and my medical aid does not want to cover it as they said the plan that I am on does not cover it. I am absolutely dissatisfied and annoyed that I was **** to. Molebogeng Moremi did not advise and provide the limitations and restrictions before taking this plan on this medical aid, I had to find out via the medical aid as and when the extra payment notifications came through. What is the point of having a medical aid that does not cover fully day to day GP consults or emergency hospitalization? Furthermore I was not told that this plan will not cover any hospitalization procedures that are covered in a state or public hospital. In other words, I cannot go to any hospital to have surgery done because the same surgery can be done in a state or public hospital. This is utter nonsense however, the consultant was misleading and essential information was omitted just to make a sale
