FIRST COMPLAINT:

I spoke to a consultant on Saturday about "QUOTING" me on medical aid with FedHealth.

I told her I needed to know what policies would cover my medication and what % of my medication. She said she would process the application so FedHealth would call me back to clarify what Medications are covered by the policy BEFORE officially signing up and fed health would need me to confirm the acceptance of the signup before anything takes place. This is what she told me on the RECORDED call which I requested a copy of today.

So, believing what the consultant said I proceeded and the call was done. Today I received communication from FedHealth stating that I am now an official member and the date at which my membership commences. What kind of **** are you guys running?

AVOID HIPPO! I thought the spam calls were bad enough, but they are shooting for the stars now."

CURRENT COMPLAINT:

Back again with another issue. The consultant we dealt with to get a QUOTE only, has signed us up with the gap cover company MedExpense WITHOUT our consent. We had a debit order go off end of December with no clear indication as to what it was for, so we reversed it.

Today we got an email and a call from MedExpense regarding the failed debit order.

We now have to go through them to sort out Hippos ******* sign up.

I recommend Hippo investigates the consultant who is clearly pushing for a commission and we never plan on using your services again.

Also after talking to a MedExpense/Kaelo consultant they informed us we need to contact their escalations and applications department to process the cancellation. However, since we were *******ly signed up by Hippo we now have to pay a cancellation fee, which is NOT going to happen, Hippo is liable for this fee due to their staff member *******ly signing us up.
