Loves losing clients.
Herotel prides itself in false service and support. Today they lost a client, over R 95,00.
I upgraded my line to a 75mbps package on the 30th June 2023. I had asked on that day if there is any charges for that request as I had paid my account same day. I was told no that I already paid my bill so would only have to pay the new bill at the next billing cycle being end July.
7 days later I get a request to pay R 95 or face suspension..
So, I asked about that and it was related to a month in arrears charge, yet I paid my last bill and only had to pay end July the new bill as told, no month in arrears or anything just as the consultant advised before upgrading.
I refused to pay it naturally as it wasn’t advised, so began a 227 day onslaught of threats of suspension, spamming emails and sms’s and no I didn’t pay it.
Long story short they ignored the fact that I only had to pay by the 1st but out of courtesy paid before that and somehow slapped the R 95 on from the 1st of July without disclosing it, no communication and or prior advi*****t.
So end of the day they’ll protect themselves and be narcissistic about it.
Who knows in this economy you’d expect them to care about losing clients but with as many bad reviews what can we say, haven’t learnt yet.
All I can say is avoid if possible or you’ll be hit with hidden costs and threats.
Although true it’s a month in arrears they said otherwise during the call. However claim they did which well there is no proof. One minute it was a past cost the other arrears either way never mentioned it.
227 days and the odd reminder, last week of feb multiple emails and SMS’s until 2am. Eventually got someone intelligent to talk to albeit no resolve.
I ended up paying that R 95 plus the R 10 prorate they wavered simply because I run a business and can’t afford their nonsense. Literally they don’t care about you so cool did that and cancelled.
What a stupid practice to lose a client over R 95 and ultimately lose R 649 monthly. Money got to their heads and service out the other end.
