Good internet, great prices, poor communication.

Here's the thing... everyone experiences connectivity issues from time to time. The best companies communicate, however. The best companies understand that there are people who work from home and depend on their connection. So they let folks know what's happening.

Herotel is one of the worst communicators in fibre providers I've ever encountered. They don't acknowledge issues. When they do, they leave you to guess on what's wrong and on ETA's. There's just no good communication for as long as I've been with them.

On the bright side, the internet is usually pretty good. It's just that when there are issues customers are left in the dark.

If you have other providers in your area, I'd recommend giving them a shot. Back when I was with Vodacom fibre, they were great. They'd let me know before I even knew there was an issue.

The bottom line... if you're a casual internet user, Herotel are perfectly fine with some of the best prices around. If you work from home, they may not be a fit for you.
