Fed up farmers

I know Igen rebranded to Herotel but still same ****ty service. We stay in a farming community in Jansenville area and our only service provider apart from Vodacom/MTN/Cell C, which by the way is just as useless with reception and customer complaints, more specifically Vodacom - anyway, is Herotel or as our community refers to them, as Zerotel. We pay expensive rates for slow WiFi like R500 for 4mb and we mostly don't even get that. For the past few years our whole community have logged MULTIPLE complaints. We went above the normal office people to head office, high powers and still ZERO tel. This is not just about watching YouTube and opening FB. We depend on communication for our safety and in emergencies. Especially with cellphone providers like Vodacom being equally as useless.

We are told because we are just a "small" community, it is not worth doing millions of rands worth of upgrades. Then my question is, why did you enter our area to begin with? To deliver a service not so? We pay for minimal speed WiFi what you charge for Fibre in the city. And I would most likely get the same old same old response of. Thank you for your message. We will esculate it to blah blah blah. Spare me as that is all we get when we log complaints. So why must we pay full paymensts for half to no service. Is that fair?

Next step will be approaching ICASA or the ombudsman. We as a community are sick and tired of empty promises year in and year out.
