Cost of data

We received a sms from Herotel stating that there would be an INFLATION related increase from November 2024. This turned out to be an increase of more than 30%. On enquiring, I was informed that this was due to Openserve, from whom the data is acquired. On investigation I found out that virtually all of the internet providers obtain their data from Openserve and so the cost involved differs very little between the suppliers. Therefore Openserve has the monopoly, and I was to bieve that data costs were supposed to drop, not to increase dramatically.
