Hennies
Based on recent customer reviews, Hennies is facing significant customer experience challenges across multiple branches including Clubview, Witbank, Vanderbijlpark, Hartbeespoort and Lorraine PE. Patrons consistently express frustration with the automatically added service charge, feeling stripped of the choice to reward good service. A recurring theme is disappointing food quality, with diners describing meals as cold, uninspiring or poorly prepared. Service inconsistencies, slow order delivery and confusing in-house policies around alcohol and deposits further sour the experience. A few guests do acknowledge improvements at certain branches under attentive management.

Very disappointed with Hennie’s compulsory 10% service fee added on top of the advertised menu prices. The Braai Block case [2024] ZANCT 66 found that adding a compulsory service fee on top of displayed prices contravened section 23(6)(a) of the Consumer Protection Act. I happily tip for good service, but a tip should be my choice. If the menu price is R200, I expect to pay R200 — not R220 because of a compulsory service charge.

Worst experience of my life, always was the more restaurants, vibe was great food was great now a absolute disappointment note they will force you to pay 10% automatically added to you bill service fee.. No decision by the client to decide a tip based on good or bad performance.(that is what a tip is...) I live 1km from Hennies in Clubview and by forcing a tip on a client including the horrible steak that tasted like tuff shoes. Rater support local that Restaurant., this place is all about how many people they can push in to make money. It is complete failure to the poor patron that worked there, I wanted to give the waiter a 15% tip but there forcefully.method made the poor guy loose. If you are in Centurion I strongly recommend that you avoid Hennies in Clubview it is purely about money don't care about anything else. Pitty that we have such an awfull corporate eyesore within our small and quiet nabourhood. Really miss the old "More Restaurant" they stood for something

Hennies Witbank have a 10% tip already included in their bill. So if the service is really bad which it was compared to Silver Lakes you are forced to pay the tip. Interesting that Silver Lakes doesn’t have a 10% tip included you are not informed about the tip at Witbank.

Since the move from Olivewood, this branch is delivering qyality food and service again. Bradley is an awake manager and there are friendly waiters who get to know their customers. Just a small negative remark is that im some shifts you can pick up the bar staff is not on top of their game with drinks or glassea being warm.

A group of 15 went for lunch at Hennies Hartebee****rt dam. What a disappointing experience. For the group we were given three crumbled menus that looked like they were taken out of the dustbin. The food arrived in drips and two people didn’t get their orders. They other finished eating already. The meals served were very uninspiring.
