Original post flagged as inappropriate for invalid reason

I posted a review of Nedbank.

They flagged it as inappropriate with the reason sent to me as: The review you wrote about Nedbank has been deemed “inappropriate” by them saying “Resolution Manager confirms that the client was given feedback … How do we know if the banker ‘rushed’ him as he claims”.

You requested I get a signed affidavidt to prove what I was saying was true.

I responded saying I don't have time and that I shouldnt need one as I never stated the banker rushed me. I never heard back from you and my initial complaint has now been taken down.

It just seems like you offer companies an easy way to remove complaints that they do not have a good response to.

I would suggest letting users appeal when a company flags posts as inappropriate especially when its unjustified and their reason is blankly untrue

Hi Ryan, we understand your frustration at having your review removed. However, your review stated that there was a disingenuous credit card sale with policy plan that was never asked for, yet all documents had been signed. In these cases where it's the businesses word against yours, and there are signed documents where you have agreed to Nedbank's terms and conditions (and policies), we have to request that you get an affidavit. Had you got this, your review would've remained on our site.

We understand that this is frustrating and time consuming, but unfortunately we cannot keep your review on the site without it. These processes are all in an attempt to ensure that reviews on our site are truthful and accurate, and we hope you can understand.

I think you are avoiding my complaint by looking at the original issue. I didn't dispute their response that I signed the contract. I was posting the complaint because the sales person claimed the contract was only for the credit card but he had ticked the form to also order a credit insurance policy which I never asked for or got told about. I wasnt trying to dispute the contract signing, but making a complaint around their sales person and the disingenous sale to me. I dont have a legal background but from what Ive been informed this is definitely problematic in terms of the consumer protection act. But Ive in part resolved the issue with Nedbank and dont want to worry about it further. However, that is a seperate complaint. My complaint here is about your lack of response to my dispute against their claim of inappropriateness. My complaint here is that Nedbank claimed that I cannot prove that I was rushed by the sales person and therefore my complaint is invalid. However I never claimed that I was rushed by the sales person. I said I was in a rush. I could never have gotten an afidavidt to prove I was rushed as that would have been a lie.
