Hi. I have used hellopeter twice before, in the last plus - minus seven years, to my utmost satisfaction, on both occasions I was contacted by officials from the top echelons of the Company's I had complaints with, and my issues/ complaints were dealt with to my satisfaction. I was made to feel that the Company's in question cared about their Customers, and Brand. I don't know so much anymore, it seems that something has changed, for one you suggest payment to what, bump up my complaint, like Gumtree, now I know you need to make a living, but that was the great thing about hellopeter, where consumers could come, and get help. I know, hellopeter underwent a change a few years ago, New Owners, now things just don't gel, as if the very same conglomerates we were asking to for help, and having to protect their image/brand, have taken a back seat, relegated us to Call Centres. I may by a small degree be wrong here, but the way I was treated before made me and my complaint feel I was important, also the full layout and hellopeter guise was just different. Did they get to you, or Is it the Big Boys that actually own hellopeter now ? Like I say, I may be wrong, but then you need to up your game, why are they taking a back seat, just don't add up. Please let me know that my complaints are taken seriously, and that hellopeter is what it was originally set up to be, and even getting better, improving. How would I go about finding out, contact the Ombudsman, Competition Commission, Consumer Council ? Please Help...

21 Sept 2017, 02:30Hi. Sounds great from your side, the experience I am having, been contacted by who knows, saying on behalf of Vodacom. I asked the gentleman where he was calling from, and he said it had nothing to do with the story. I explained I had an experience with Vodacom in the past and I had been called by their head office in Midrand. Well he is calling from Cape Town, and it has nothing to do with anything. Why so defensive? I wanted to know/feel that my gripe/complaint was getting the attention, I feel it deserved. The time I was contacted before, about 7 years ago, the person went out of their way to assist me, and I was pleased with the result. That person was in a senior position in Vodacom, which gave me that extra sense that they appreciated me as a customer. I now feel that I have been thrown in a dump, they don't give a damn. I know how it works, and that cannot be true, so something just does not gel. I had another issue a couple years later with Southern Sun (Sun International), same thing, from the top, they contacted me, and it was about money. Four days later my money was in my bank account. I have always praised hellopeter to my friends and family for the outstanding service.
This time, and I am not saying it is anything to do with hellopeter, but I feel that they are just not interested, like I am condemned for even daring to smear their name on social media, hence the feeling that it don't add up.
Brand names are so very important, and good customer relations.
The kind of feedback, and recourse I have in mind, not that I would get it, but at least to know they tried to resolve my story, would require someone with a bit of clout/authority in Vodacom.
The lady who phoned me after the dude from Cape Town, she is from the Shop where the story took place, came out sorry about this, she will investigate and get back to me, BUT! I need to know that the shop is privately owned and not a Vodacom. Have you ever. The sign above the door says Vodacom. The staff are wearing Vodacom uniforms, and she tells me it is not Vodacom. I know what a franchise is, and said to her then she should register a company name, and put that up, because she, her staff and shop, are bringing Vodacom's Brand name into disrepute. That is the attitude, now they just trying to do damage control, which does not solve the underlying problem, their whole being. They are not Vodacom, and yet they are in essence Vodacom, now which is it?
