Honest Review Removed with Entrapment Tactics
I recently wrote a very honest review about a logistics company that had failed on its SLA. I provided all the documentation, pictures and emails to prove my complaint, however, I was then requested to submit an affidavit before my complaint could remain live. This was never the case previously unless there was a serious ******** accusation. My accusations were not of any ******** nature which is why I found the request for an affidavit quite concerning. Having some knowledge of defamation protocols also made me weary which is why I was also not comfortable with the affidavit. My review was honest but even an honest review can go under legal scrutiny if sworn in as an absolute fact. This is where platforms like Hellopeter need to do more to protect the rights of consumers and not be party to entrapment by big corporates.
We require this in circumstances where a business denies any dealings and/or the contents of the review not representing a true and accurate experience. Hellopeter merely facilitates engagement between consumers and businesses and does not get involved in dispute resolution. Given that reviews live on a public platform, once a review has been reported to us, we need to protect Hellopeters rights and ensure we do everything to verify the contents are true and accurate.
We hope this brings clarity to how our site works. Any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, the Hellopeter Team

I had photos, screenshots and emails to prove my case and Hello Peter ignored that proof based on the word of a corporate who is paying money to be registered as a trusted business on your platform.
An affidavit will not prove that anything I say is true or false, the review is essentially the affidavit without a stamp from a commissioner of oaths.
The evidence I provided was more than proof enough to keep the review open.
First you ask for proof which is provided and then you move the goal posts further by asking for an affidavit.
Just simplify the process and make Hello Peter a commissioner of oaths so that reviews don't need the extra step.
However, if Hello Peter doesn't get involved in dispute resolution why are you asking for an affidavit. It is clear that any affidavit produced becomes public record which then can be used against someone or their business in a dispute resolution matter.
If my review is not reinstated it will be a clear sign that Hello Peter is not a neutral party in-between the consumer and businesses.
