Failure to uphold consumer rights

I've long had a high regard for HelloPeter, but now feel the need to express my disappointment. I recently posted a complaint about a company called Power Plastics Pool Covers. HelloPeter saw fit to remove my header and edit my complaint, insisting it was defamatory and a \personal attack\". Having sought legal opinion I emailed back to advise it was neither. I asked HelloPeter to amend the header and suggested they rewrite it to read the same as the last person to complain about the company. It took several attempts to achieve this and, in effect, my complaint was watered down in what appears to be an attempt to appease the service provider. I do not believe that doing so has been in the public interest. It seems to me that HelloPeter's response to this matter does what was once an exceptional consumer website a grave disservice. If HelloPeter is to follow a path of invalidating legitimate complaints and supporting what in my view are bullying service providers, then, in my opinion, I see little future for the site - and that would be a great pity for South African consumers who live in a society riddled by poor service against which they have very little, if any, recourse."
