Awful service.
I don't know how these guys are still in business, reading the other reviews. We ordered and paid in full for some safety equipment on our fireplaces over two months ago. The agent we were dealing with went MIA and stopped responding. I eventually escalated to the owner, Dawie, who is full of excuses and explanations of how it's not his fault, but entirely empty of solutions. He has now gone MIA. Calls to the office suggest to me that there's no system in place, because each time somebody has to try scratch around to find out what's happening, and I get told "Oh, but that's very simple, I don't know what the delay is". It just seems to be a business where nobody cares and nothing is getting done.

Highly recommended!!!
I recently bought a close combustion fireplace from HeatKing and got them to install it as well. I dealt directly with the owner Dawie from beginning to end and I have to say, I was blown away by him and his team!!! At the time I was looking for a fireplace, Dawie was the only supplier (out of 5 suppliers) that came out to my home to inspect the area where I wanted to install the unit (free of charge). All other suppliers wanted me to pay them just to come out and quote. Dawie was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain exactly what I needed. Honest and transparent about everything. His team were very professional, friendly and efficient, and the installation of the fireplace was done quickly and much sooner than expected. I would highly recommend Dawie and HeatKing to anyone needing a fireplace.

Heat king. Wrong gas fireplace delivery
My company, Gas Piping Services, purchased a Gas fireplace and was delivered the wrong fireplace. We have tried to call and e-mail the owner, Dawie , but he does not return calls or react to e-mails. This is now 3 weeks and Heat King still have not rectified the wrong product delivery. Customer will now cancel the order and leave us with reputational damage.

HEATKING - USELESS, DO NOT USE THEM
The one star is because I am unable to give them zero stars. This is the most useless business we have ever dealt with. Our Bogen closed combustion fireplace has been in their hands since February 2025 to be repaired. From then up to today we still don't have the fireplace and are doubtful that HeatKing actually has the fireplace or can find it. We have had to send photos to them twice, to show them which it is and still no reply or fireplace. If you want service or a decent fireplace DO NOT USE HEATKING.
