Poor quality footwear -Havaiinas

I bought a pair of Havainas for my girlfriend and they broke after being worn just once. I took them back to the Havainas store in Sandton and even though you can clearly see that they are brand new, they refused to replace them without a receipt. How many people actually keep receipts? I know of at least 4 other people with the same issue and there is clearly a quality problem as all 4 have failed in the exact same place. This is not the service expected from an international brand and i will not be supporting this brand again. In addition to this i will be reporting this to the CCSA.
