Havaianas, why waste money on poor quality when Woolies have something similar for half the price!

Had a pair of their flops purchased for me Xmas 2021 never wore them as I wanted to change them for a different pair. We are talking a couple of months. When I decided to change them and get my swapped pair of flops I again did not wear them for months. They remained at the back of my cupboard.

After another couple of months, I started to wear the flops which were brand new. From day one the lettering started to fall off from the flop strap I left and as time moved on more and more of the lettering fell off. It eventually got to the stage when it started to bother me so I decided to go to the Canal Walk store where they advised me to get hold of customer service which I did. This is the reply I received: ' Thank you for your email, Allow me to apologise for this. I unfortunately can not give you an explanation as to why the name is peeling off your flip flops. These flip flops are note manufactured in South Africa it comes from Brazil. I wish I could provide you with the best possible explanation. We do apologise for the inconvenience and for not being able to assist you.'

Now yes I appreciate the apology and I accepted I could not get a new pair as it was over the warranty limit of 6 months but I did ask for an explanation. Now in business, if you are an agent for the brand in SA or their SA branch surely you have comms with where your product is manufactured and you know who to contact to find out any issues that may have occurred with a product that your brand appears on??? Especially if a customer paid the amount of money for a piece of rubber and plastic! I just find that when you contact customer service you expect to get answers not oh well the flops are manufactured in Brazil so meh whatever have a nice day!

Anyway never buying these overpriced pieces of rubber and giving my hard-earned bucks to a lazy, unprofessional business that has no idea how a business operates!

Go to Woolies and purchase a pair for half the price that does the same job or I guess you can go to Havaianas and get ********** on a themed pair of flops that fades after time. #havaiana****rquaity
