Broken sandals

I recently bought an expensive pair of sandals from their store. After a year of barely using it, the bottom piece snapped off. I tried in vain to get hold of anyone from customer relations but it seems as though they just do not care. It's appalling when you consider how expensive these sandals are and they have no after sales care at all !!!!
