BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am furious by the conduct of the VW Hatfield Rivonia branch. I arrived at exactly 07:02 today to drop-off my car for a service, and requested for transport to my work place. I specifically made sure I left my house at 6am this morning to ensure my early arrival at the service center, to ensure that I on time for work. I was under the impression that I would wait for not more than 30 minutes for the transport to arrive, instead I waited for an hour before the chauffeur service left the service center. I am appalled by the fact that it left the service center at 07:58, almost an hour after my arrival. This dealership has no regard for time and is not bothered by how such delays could effect it’s customers. To make matters worse, the driver went on to make the comment in vernacular, and I quote in translation, “They can catch an Uber if they want to, this is a free transport service and they should be grateful that we’re taking them to work in the first place”. This type of commentary is both disrespectful and just not acceptable, to say the least. You would think that company as massive as Volkswagen would at least train its employees on basic etiquette. For the record, this is the first and last time I am servicing my car at this particular VW, as I am used to a much better service. I do not expect to arrive at 7am, only to wait for an hour to leave the service center. I am well aware that this is a free service, but does that mean we as customers must accept such treatment? I must commend other VW’s for respecting their customers and their time, and being aware that we have jobs and not all of us start work at the same time. I have never had to wait for the mini bus to be full before leaving the center, nor had to wait for an entire hour! Its either 2 smaller vehicles would transport people, or the first few people to arrive would be transported, and not have to wait for the late comers, FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR!!. It is obvious to me that if you start work at 8am, you need not take your car to this specific VW service center, as they only cater for people who start work at 9am. Going forward, the amount of time one has to wait should be clearly indicated when offering this service, as impacts us heavily. As mentioned, this is not the first time using this service, and I am well aware of how other service centers operate, but I have never had to wait for an hour before being transported to work, and never had to listen to such aggravating comment from a driver. Please sort out this issue as a matter of urgency.
