Untruthful employees

Harcourts, Somerset West Useless! We bought through Harcourts a few years ago and thought it would make sense to rent out our property through them as well - worst mistake ever!

Although we've secured tenants in time (with numerous issues/concerns/unprofessional staff), my review is more towards the selling side... As we've emigrated, we thought it well to market our property for renting and selling - to see which fish bites first. Our rental agent suggested a colleague to deal with the selling. We agreed on a selling price and the agent said all is good. Longer than a month later, we were still unable to see where they advertise our property. In the meanwhile, we decided to give a shared mandate to my uncle. We reached out to Harcourts and informed them of our decision and inquired on where we can find the link to our property listing. The agent's response?? "I've removed the ad and will upload again today to attract new potential buyers." (I don't know how someone can underestimate one's IQ like that). My uncle inquired from Harcourts on terms, photos, etc. but NEVER got a response. My uncle asked whether we've signed a "selling mandate" with Harcourts - but unfortunately, "laymen" in the field of selling properties, we never knew we had to (in hindsight, duh...). This means that Harcourts (in the two months since reaching out to them in the first place) NEVER did anything to advertise our property! We therefore decided to give sole mandate to my uncle - we informed Harcourts of our decision and the reasons for it (e.g. blatant lying) - to this day, no response from them...
