Stay AWAY from HARCOURTS if you're thinking of renting

After many discussions, an agent inspecting our rental place, seeing lots of mistakes which we reported already, this is the response we get from a Harcourts Agent: Ek wil ook net noem dat n eienaar geen verpligting het om enige iets wat fout was in die woonstel reg te maak nie solank die woonstel leefbaar is.

So in other words, if lights are not working, taps are leaking, carpets are not washed upon moving in, we cannot expect anything to be cleaned or fixed as long as it's livable!! Never in my life had I heard of such nonsense, I wonder what the housing tribunal would say of this? Or maybe we should contact the news agencies. For such a large business, this is a disgusting agency, I would NEVER recommend to anyone.
