****med by Andries trading as Harcourts Cornerstone Thorntree Village Fort Beaufort
I am writing to lodge a query concerning my aunt who has been ****med by Andries Du Plesis who operated the name of Harcourts Cornerstone.
Two years ago, my aunt purchased a property at Harcourts Cornerstone. The development was promised to be at Fort Beaufort. All advertising and sales were under the banner of Harcourts. The contract was under the name of NICKIGRAPH (PTY) LTD and NEW CENTURY DEVELOPMENTS who was the contractor. Andries handled all the financing for this property including the bank loan and all progress payments. The house is not complete and my aunt has still not received the necessary occupation certificates to occupy the property. She is paying for a loan to a house which she cannot occupy.
We've sent numerous communications to Andries even via NHBRC and Legalwise. Andries kept promising to fix the issues however till today he has not done that. He is avoiding all calls and communication from both NHBRC and legalwise.
At this stage, we are of the view that Andries ****med us and has run away. We hereby request your assistance in resolving this matter.
I've attached the adverts which he showed us and which my aunt bought into. I'm also attaching information about this Nickigraphy company that Andries used.
Could you please advise on the status of this development and when my aunt will get occupation of her house.
I've also sent this same email to Harcourts.

My Aunt and I (and 2 more family members) had a meeting with Mr Lance Gouws of Harcourts East London today. In the meeting Lance Advised that not all the houses sold at the Thorn Tree Village were sold by Harcourts. Some of the houses were sold by the developer himself.
Harcourts had agreed to do the marketing for the developer and hence the developer used Harcourts marketing material to advertise the development and houses. My aunt's house however was purchased directly from the developer hence even though my aunt's house is incomplete and the developer whom Harcourts had a marketing agreement with has run away, there is not much Harcourts can do for my aunt.
Lance also advised that he also is having the same issue as my aunt as he had bought the show house from this development. The house is also incomplete.
Lance further advised that the bond grants of the remaining clients who had bought via Harcourts in this developments fell through as the developer could not prove availability of Bulk Services.
We agreed to proceed with the legal actions against Andries (NICKIGRAPH (PTY) LTD and NEW CENTURY DEVELOPMENTS). Lance will also advise his attorneys' about my aunt's case.
I thank Lance for his time today. I also Thank Team Harcourts for your availability to hear our concerns.
I would however advise that perhaps more stringent measure's be app**** when allowing developers to use Harcourts Marketing material. When we as customer's see the advert with the Harcourts logo on it, we are convinced that this is a trust worthy development with all the necessary approvals. I say this as I'm currently myself in the process of purchasing a property from Harcourts and my aunt's case made me doubt this purchase.
I hereby Update My Review to "Happier".
